1)  For the purposes of Qualifying for the 2008 State Championships, sanctioned/approved runs made between 10/15/07 and until the date of the first run of the 2008 State Championships will count as qualifiers.

2) To be eligible for the 2008 State Championships, members must accumulate six qualifying runs in their District.   A qualifying run consists of any run (regardless of whether the run results in a no time or not) made at an NBHA Show that is sanctioned for National Points, or an NBHA Show that has been sanctioned for State Qualifiers .  A member can accumulate one qualifying run per horse, per event date at NBHA Sanctioned Shows.  At the District Director’s discretion, races may provide the contestant with TWO qualifiers instead of one.

3)  State Shows (other than the State Championships) may count towards qualification.  Show bills will clearly state whether a State level show is sanctioned for qualifiers.

4) National level shows such as the John Deere Show in Las Vegas will not count towards State Show Qualification.

6) District 00 members must enclose a Qualifier Card with their entries to the State Show.  These Qualifier Cards must be presented to the District Director or Show Secretary at NBHA Shows where qualifiers are accumulated for initialing.  A completed card will contain six signatures/initials on it and must accompany all State Show entry forms.

7) Under no circumstances can qualification be waived for any rider for any reason, with the exception of Directors.  Directors are qualified to run at any NBHA Show (including NBHA World) regardless of qualification requirements or status.

8) Since Pee Wees are not sanctioned by the NBHA, there are no qualification requirements for Pee Wees except that they are members in good standing of the NBHA and are of the appropriate age per the State Pee Wee rules.

9) There are no qualification requirements for sweepstakes jackpots that occur the day before the State Show starts (i.e., Tough Enough to Wear Pink or Lightning Round).

10) Qualification information and qualification status must be available to District members at District races.
